Board Treasurer
The Board Secretary is an elected position on the ACYA Executive Board. The Treasurer is primarily responsible for ensuring ethical and sustainable financial stewardship of ACYA.
Primary Responsibilities
Lodge ACYA's tax statements;
Track transactions through Xero's cloud-based computing system and provide a record for grant acquittals;
Present the Treasurer's Report at the Annual General Meeting;
Ensure ACYA meets the requirements for charitable status;
Spearhead development of ACYA's operational budget;
Support ACYA's Chapter Treasurers if needed; and
Represent ACYA in public forums, as required.
Requirements
Time commitment of ~5 hours/week; and
Demonstrated experience managing organisational tax and accounts
(Optional but preferred) Demonstrated event management experience; and
(Optional but preferred) Experience managing across cultures, particularly with respect to the Australia-China relationship
