Translations Officer
A Translations Officer is an appointed position on the ACYA National Executive and is a member of ACYA's Translations Team reporting to the Translations Manager.
Translations Officers are primarily responsible for supporting the execution of ACYA’s social media presence on English and Chinese language social media platforms, as well as the website. Officers are additionally responsible for supporting the development of key documents such as delegate handbooks and annual prospectus. Their objective is to ensure the availability of materials in both Chinese and English.
Primary Responsibilities
To translate materials between English and Chinese;
To support the development of the ACYA website's Chinese-language side;
To support the development of Publication and Media Team materials; and
Edit and review translation work written by other officers, providing constructive feedback and suggestions.
Requirements
Time commitment of ~3-4 hours/week;
Ability to work well within small teams;
Demonstrated native English and Chinese proficiency and translation ability;
Demonstrated high level of cultural awareness between Australia and China; and
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
