ACELS Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that ACELS progresses smoothly, through organising and coordinating the day-to-day running of the conference. They are also involved in arranging other activities beyond panels and seminars, which broaden delegate’s knowledge and understanding of the Australia-China space. The Operations Manager will share regular meetings with the Events Director and National President and work alongside the Content, Delegates, Partnerships and Communications Directors.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead the Operations team to research and propose quality and cost-effective solutions for the following:

  • Delegate accommodation;

  • Restaurant and catering options, pricing, capacity;

  • Locations for the networking evening, activities, content, and gala dinner;

  • Transportation during the summit;

  • Catering during the summit;

  • Prepare effective response to risks (foreseen and unforeseen); and

  • Preparation of run-sheets and timetables in collaboration with other managers
