Nicki possesses an educational background spanning China, Singapore, and Australia. Following her graduation from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor's degree in International Business, she worked in Adelaide's media industry and Sydney's film sector.

During her time in Sydney, Nicki authored her debut novel, Wind Chaser (published in Chinese as '悉尼沉浮 1997'). Drawing on the real-life stories of Chinese immigrants in the 1990s, the book chronicles their experiences and lives in a new country. In 2019, the novel was published by the World Affairs Press (affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China) and distributed across both China and Australia. In 2022, she published her second book, The Great Painter: Cézanne, through Beijing United Publishing Company.

In 2019, Nicki hosted an abstract ink art exhibition, "Koalas In Ink," in both Sydney and Chengdu. She subsequently founded Donrein Cultures, an integrated agency that translates Eastern heritage and philosophy into brand values for a global clientele. In 2023, she co-founded Sinoworks, which provides global energy solutions and strategic consulting services to clients in China, Australia, and Europe.

Currently, Nicki serves as the General Manager for Greater China at ACYPI, coordinating engagement and support for the bilateral youth community. Additionally, she holds the position of Deputy Secretary-General for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base of the Sichuan Overseas Returnees Enterprise Association.
