ACYA and ACYPI Reunite
We are proud to announce that as of Saturday 18 April 2026, the Australia-China Youth Association under President Mackenzie Lang and the Australia-China Young Professionals Initiative under Chair Joyce Zhuo have formally reunited under a single banner for the first time in over a decade.
This merger brings together the leading student and young professional networks in the Australia-China space into a unified platform. Our combined 6,000 members are only the beginning as our 17 chapters work on our new coordinated event schedule that will deliver regular engagement opportunities with industry leaders. Working together, ACYA and ACYPI will provide a streamlined membership structure, coordinated events that bring benefits to everyone aged 18-35, and expanded collaboration across government, industry, academia, and community. As the leading youth-led NGO in this space, we remain committed to building the next generation of leaders who can navigate and shape this important bilateral relationship.
Now operating together under the Australia-China Youth Group parent organisation, ACYA and ACYPI remain committed to building a community of like-minded young people passionate about the Australia-China space and delivering professionally oriented programming, frequent community social events, and expanded opportunities for young people to engage meaningfully in the Australia-China relationship.
Our first joint event is the 19th Australia-China Emerging Leaders Summit, which will focus on skills building and the emerging frontiers that will shape the Australia-China relationship. If you’re interested in applying, please find more information here.
Over the next few weeks more information is coming about how ACYA and ACYPI will be growing together and the expansion plans we have underway. If you’ve been interested in getting involved, now is the time to step forward and help shape the next decade of engagement.
