ACYA is always looking for the talented youth in the Australia-China space to take up the helm of Australia’s only youth administered NGO actively seeking to promote and develop the Australia China bilateral relationship. ACYA is also proud to be directly involved as a member of the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan Steering Committee.
Since its inception in 2008, ACYA’s National Executive has included members from a diverse set of backgrounds, including, but not limited to: New Colombo Plan scholars, Prime Minister’s Endeavour Awards scholars, Chinese Government Scholarship recipients, Australian Law Award recipients and a Sir John Monash scholar. Executives have come from a variety of young professional / student backgrounds in business, government and academia and various industries, each bringing with them the perspectives and experience that have helped to make ACYA the leader in youth administered NGOs that it is today.
Join the National Team: Annual General Meeting 26th February 2017
The ACYA National AGM will be held at 10am CST / 1pm AEDT on Sunday, the 26th of February, 2017. Attendance is by Skype. Since only 25 Skype accounts can join a call at once, ACYA members in the same city or chapter are encouraged to gather in a communal location and share a computer to join the call. To join your local gathering, contact your local chapter president and register your attendance below.
ACYA National Executive Elections
Applications are currently open for the ACYA National Executive Committee, the ACYA National Directors, and a number of other positions within ACYA National. Applicants are welcome and indeed encouraged to apply for multiple roles; if you do so, please state your order of preference among the roles you have applied for.
Positions on the National Executive Committee will be elected at the AGM. All current ACYA National Executive Committee members, National Directors, and Chapter Presidents are eligible to vote. Chapter Presidents are encouraged to vote according to a majority vote among their chapter’s general members. All registered attendees will be sent applicant and voting information along with the AGM agenda one week prior to the commencement of the meeting.
All applications should be sent by email, with a CV and cover letter, to the ACYA Returning Officer by 11:59pm on Friday, the 17th of February. For more information, read the position descriptions below.

Join a Local Chapter
ACYA has chapters in 26 chapters across 15 cities in Australia and China. Chapters run events ranging from weekly language exchanges to gala balls and careers forums.
